The partnership of "SRP Engineer Consulting Mongolia" LLC and "MIL" LLC signed a contract with the Ministry of Economy and Development and the Ministry of Road and Transport of Mongolia, Appendix 2 of the Budget Law of Mongolia 2023, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and in accordance with Order No. A/16 of the Minister of Economy and Development dated 23 March 2023 and the task of design development work approved by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport S. Batbold on 10 April 2023 development, rehabilitation of the existing bridge, construction and extension of a new 4-lane bridge.
The bridge was built over the Tuul River on the Ulaanbaatar-Arvaikheer highway near Lun Sum in accordance with the General Road Administration's seventh five-year plan, which was established in early 1981.
The newly planned bridges will be 325.25 metres long on the main channel of the Tuul River and 73.25 metres long on the branch. The bridges will be 11.5 metres wide and 35.95 metres long reinforced concrete bridges with T-shaped reinforced girders and pile foundations. The project also included the detailed design of a 1.5 km, 4-lane paved road.
